SQUAMISH, BC– Woodfibre LNG’s Community Partnership Program reached a major milestone in its most recent funding round: more than $1 million in total grants have been delivered since the program’s inception.

For the funding round that closed in October, Woodfibre LNG granted $150,000 to 62 local not-for-profit and community-based organizations serving Squamish and the Sea to Sky Corridor, with each recipient eligible for up to $5,000 to support projects that strengthen community well-being, health, safety, recreation, inclusion, and sustainability.

“We are proud to reach this $1 million milestone in support of the community, and to once again offer funding to dozens of deserving organizations that applied,” said Woodfibre LNG CEO Luke Schauerte. “Woodfibre LNG is committed to putting community first, and this commitment is reflected in every aspect of this project’s development. We look forward to continuing to build a positive legacy alongside our neighbours for years to come.”

Since launching in 2021, the Community Partnership Program has provided funding to more than 200 local non-profit organizations making meaningful contributions in the areas of sports and recreation, education and training, health and wellness, arts and culture, marine safety, and local search and rescue.

Woodfibre LNG thanks all organizations that applied for funding. Organizations interested in applying in 2026 can visit https://woodfibrelng.ca/cpp  for more information on the program.
