Last month we had the opportunity to join this dedicated group of volunteers for one of their weekly training exercises as they put some new equipment, funded by a recent donation from Woodfibre LNG, to the test.

The company is providing 83 grants to 76 non-profit and charitable organizations across Squamish and the Sea to Sky. Since the program launched in 2021, Woodfibre LNG has granted more than $1 million to community organizations in the region.

Woodfibre LNG is pleased to announce the 2026 intake for its Community Partnership Program, with online applications opening today. Supporting stronger, more vibrant communities across Squamish and the Sea to Sky region remains a key part of the company’s commitment to being a good neighbour.

For the funding round that closed in October, Woodfibre LNG granted $150,000 to 62 local not-for-profit and community-based organizations serving Squamish and the Sea to Sky Corridor.

With Brennan Park’s rink closed in recent weeks, Squamish Minor Hockey families faced unexpected travel costs to keep players on the ice. Now that the rink has reopened, Woodfibre LNG’s support helps cover those extra expenses so local kids can focus on playing the game they love.

Local charity groups and non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply for funding of up to $5,000 by October 10, 2025.

Woodfibre LNG continues to strengthen its commitment to the Squamish and Squamish Lillooet Regional District communities by announcing $150,000 in funding to support 64 local non-profits through the Spring 2025 intake of its Community Partnership Program. This latest contribution brings the total support provided to the community through the program to $910,000.

Local charity groups and non-profit organizations from Squamish or the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District are encouraged to apply for funding of up to $5,000 by May 3, 2025.

Through community-centered initiatives, École Squamish Elementary has stepped up to help families rebuild and strengthen their community connections.
