Woodfibre LNG Opens 2026 Community Partnership Program Intake

News Release

May 11, 2026

SQUAMISH, BC – Woodfibre LNG is pleased to announce the 2026 intake for its Community Partnership Program, with online applications opening today. Supporting stronger, more vibrant communities across Squamish and the Sea to Sky region remains a key part of the company’s commitment to being a good neighbour.

Designed to assist non-profit organizations that strengthen community and inspire people, the Community Partnership Program provides funding to local non-profits making meaningful contributions in the areas of sports and recreation, health and wellness, arts and culture, marine safety, and local search and rescue.

This year’s program intake builds on strong momentum for the program which surpassed $1 million in total funding in 2025, supporting more than 200 local organizations since launching in 2021. In its most recent intake, Woodfibre LNG supported 62 organizations across the region.

“Reaching more than a million dollars given to local clubs, associations, sports teams and organizations is something we’re incredibly proud of,” said Luke Schauerte, CEO, Woodfibre LNG. “But what matters most is the impact behind those numbers—the people, programs, and volunteers who help make Squamish and the Sea to Sky region such a strong and connected community. Being a good neighbour means supporting those who show up for others, and we’re proud to stand alongside them.”

Eligible charities and non-profit organizations located in the District of Squamish or the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District are encouraged to apply for funding of up to $5,000. Full eligibility details and application information are available at woodfibrelng.ca/cpp.

Moving forward, the Community Partnership Program will change to single annual intake. This update is intended to simplify the application process and support community investment priorities across the year.

Funding recipients will be announced later this summer.
