Woodfibre LNG Opens Fall 2025 Intake for Community Partnership Program
Sep 15, 2025
SQUAMISH, BC – Woodfibre LNG is pleased to announce the opening of the Fall 2025 intake for its Community Partnership Program. Being a part of building stronger and more vibrant communities in the Sea to Sky region is a key part of the company’s commitment to be a good neighbour to Squamish and other communities within the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District.
Designed to assist non-profit organizations that strengthen and inspire community, the Community Partnership Program provides funding to local non-profit organizations making meaningful contributions in the areas of sports and recreation, education and training, health and wellness, arts and culture, marine safety, and local search and rescue.
In 2024, the program awarded $300,000 to over 60 local non-profits, helping fund everything from youth programs and health care to sports teams and cultural initiatives. Earlier this year, 63 community organizations received $150,000 in funding from Woodfibre LNG through the program.
“Good neighbours look out for each other, and we’re committed to supporting the organizations that make Squamish and the Sea to Sky region caring and connected communities,” said Luke Schauerte, CEO, Woodfibre LNG. “Through our Community Partnership Program, we’re proud to stand alongside the special people that commit their time and energy to run the programs that help make this one of the best places in the world to live, work, play and raise a family.”
Local charity groups and non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply for funding of up to $5,000 by October 10, 2025. Eligible applicants are invited to visit woodfibrelng.ca/cpp to review criteria and submit an application. Funding recipients will be announced later this spring.
