Announcement of the Woodfibre LNG Interconnection Project Stage 2; a project being undertaken with BC Hydro to build an additional power line to ensure that Woodfibre LNG has reliable access to clean and renewable power.

Woodfibre LNG is pleased to announce that it has received regulatory approval from the BC Environmental Assessment Office, the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada and the Squamish Nation for a second floating workforce accommodation vessel (floatel) to support construction at the Woodfibre LNG site.

Luke Schauerte, Chief Executive Officer of Woodfibre LNG, recently took the stage at the Vancouver Board of Trade’s Indigenous Opportunities Forum, to share how the relationship between the company and the Squamish Nation has resulted in a model for how major projects should be developed.

Two radio communication towers are required to be installed at the Woodfibre LNG facility site, located approximately 7 km south of Squamish, BC.
