Woodfibre LNG Opens Spring 2025 Intake for Community Partnership Program

News Release

Apr 7, 2025

Woodfibre LNG is pleased to announce the opening of the Spring 2025 intake for its Community Partnership Program, continuing the company’s commitment to help build a stronger, more connected community.

Designed to assist non-profit organizations that strengthen and inspire community, the Community Partnership Program provides funding to local non-profit organizations making meaningful contributions in the areas of sports and recreation, education and training, health and wellness, arts and culture, marine safety, and local search and rescue.

In 2024, the program awarded more than $300,000 to over 60 local non-profits, helping fund everything from youth programs and health care to sports teams and cultural initiatives.

“Squamish isn’t just a neighbour to our project – it’s where our future operational workforce will call home. We’re committed to supporting the organizations that make this region a vibrant and caring place to live,” said Luke Schauerte, CEO, Woodfibre LNG. “Our Community Partnership Program is a great example of how we can show up as a good neighbour—by supporting and investing in organizations that matter to the community.”

Local charity groups and non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply for funding of up to $5,000 by May 3, 2025. Eligible applicants from Squamish or the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District are invited to visit woodfibrelng.ca/cpp to review criteria and submit an application. Funding recipients will be announced later this spring.
