Woodfibre is here for you, Squamish.

May 4, 2020

We’re in unprecedented, difficult times.

Like most companies around the world, Woodfibre is feeling the effects of the global COVID-19 pandemic. We’re pinching pennies… but we’re also putting people first.

Tough economic times will not stop our plans to give back to Squamish. In addition to helping local businesses by donating advertising space to the Chamber of Commerce, Woodfibre is opening applications for our annual Community Sponsorship Grant Program early, and extending the application period by a month. We hope this will help more local organizations have the chance to apply.

Details on how to apply are below. We look forward to seeing your submissions!

What’s new for this year’s program

We’re shaking up the Program a little this year to be more responsive to the hardest hit areas of our community and economy. For the first time, we are targeting this year’s grants to organizations in five sectors:

  • Tourism
  • Sports
  • Education
  • Health
  • Environment

Also for the first time, we are encouraging interested organizations to send us a video application. We hope to share your videos with our community – giving your organization a platform for more donations, and engaging the people of Squamish and B.C. with your inspirational stories.

Videos should be creative, fun, easy to make, and use photos or video you already have or can get while maintaining physical distancing. Submitting a video will give your organization a chance to win an additional $1000!

Woodfibre is here for you, Squamish.

How to apply:

Fill out the application form on our (NEW!) website: www.woodfibrelng.ca and send us your video/photos.
