Squamish Open House: Learn About Flaring

Note: This open house was originally scheduled for September 17.

Woodfibre LNG is inviting community members to an open house on October 1 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Executive Suites in Squamish. Woodfibre LNG staff will be on hand to answer questions and share information about flaring, including why it is necessary, how it supports the safe operation of the facility, and the different reasons for flaring during commissioning and operations.

Attendees will also be able to learn more about some of the most common questions surrounding flaring, including what people may see and hear, potential light and noise impacts, air emissions, and how flaring will be managed and monitored.

The open house is an opportunity to speak directly with members of the Woodfibre LNG team, review information and ask questions about what nearby communities can expect as the project moves toward commissioning.

Light refreshments and snacks will be available. This open house replaces an engagement originally scheduled for September 17^th.
