Celebrating International Women’s Day 2025 by highlighting four inspiring women shaping BC’s LNG sector. Their stories of mentorship, resilience, and leadership showcase the progress toward a more inclusive industry and the world’s first net zero LNG export facility.

Construction continues to advance at the Woodfibre LNG site, including work on foundations for the LNG processing equipment and modules that are expected to begin arriving at site in 2025.

By demonstrating that LNG production can achieve near-zero emissions, Woodfibre LNG is highlighting that targeted decarbonization at every stage of the supply chain can have a cascading global impact.

Through community-centered initiatives, École Squamish Elementary has stepped up to help families rebuild and strengthen their community connections. With the support of partners like Woodfibre LNG, ESQE has created inclusive events and programs that bring fresh energy to students and the larger community.

Over the course of 2024, the Woodfibre LNG project made significant strides, including the arrival of the floatel, progress on the Marine Offloading Facility, the pouring of concrete foundations, and marine work to support mooring structures for the Floating Storage Tanks. This progress was all made while adhering to federal, provincial and Sķwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) requirements.

Meet Vince Gagner, Woodfibre LNG's Site HSSE Manager, whose leadership and 30+ years of expertise drive a culture of safety, sustainability, and collaboration at one of Canada's most innovative LNG projects. Vince's approach combines conventional safety protocols with Indigenous values, fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace while ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations.
