The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.

Position
The Maintenance Coordinator is an integral part of Woodfibre LNG’s dynamic team. You will represent Maintenance, guiding the Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams through the intent of our maintenance and reliability best practices & standards. The Maintenance Coordinator works with Operations Coordinator to set the priorities for all site maintenance work and focuses on safe execution, high quality and cost efficiency. The successful candidate reports directly to Maintenance Manager and will play an essential part in supporting the company’s Operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will:
- Be the first point of contact for emergencies and breaks in work.
- Coordinate cross-functionally the maintenance requirements across the site, facilities, roads and grounds, waterside, & base operations to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Support the preparation & support of the planning of Major Maintenance & Turnarounds, delivering & driving best practices and a safe work environment.
- Contribute to meeting compliance on the Maintenance budget, schedule compliance, long range planning of regulatory work, & preventive maintenance optimization.
- Ensure that all jobs are conducted in compliance with company and government regulations and procedures.
- Maintenance Coordinator may represent the Mechanical Supervisor, or the Maintenance Manager during planned/unplanned events, & leave.
- Work with the Operations Coordinator to understand all Work Notifications in the CFT and take input from the Operations Coordinator and Shift Supervisor regarding WN approval, priority, requirements, safety risks and maintenance cost & quality impacts.
- Lead & facilitate risk reviews for Maintenance.
- Communicate business goals and priorities for maintenance supervisors daily.
- Responsible for Planning for emergent & break-in work, ordering and tracking of material. Vendor selection, frequent field monitoring of all break-in maintenance & regulatory activities for the CFT assets.
- Responsible for providing maintenance input to turnaround and major maintenance, planning, scoping, and support activities.
- Work closely with the Operations Coordinator to ensure all field operations are synchronized with the maintenance schedule.
- Interact with the Shift Supervisor and operations leaders to ensure all maintenance work preparation is executed consistently to applicable standards and monitored safely, environmentally acceptable, and efficiently.
- Responsible for ensuring contractor management processes are followed and communicate clearly with maintenance supervisors on the timing of kick-off meetings and work start.
- Participate in the weekly maintenance reviews & provide input for maintenance improvements.
- Stay close to the maintenance budget and can steer and forecast upcoming maintenance spending.
- Support the review of maintenance procedures, processes and tracking tools for the corrective and preventative maintenance programs.
- Seek and lead/promote improvement for opportunities to reduce cost and improve asset reliability.
- Prepare and manage the maintenance monthly KPI report.
Required Experience
- 7+ years plant maintenance craft, supervision / coordination / planning experience in Oil and Gas industry.
- LNG experience is a plus.
- 5+ years maintenance turnaround experience in oil & gas.
- Process safety management mind set.
- Sound understanding of maintenance work Processes.
- Strong maintenance planning skills.
- Strong leadership skills – coaching approach.
- Technical proficiency to coordinate solutions for a broad range of issues (E&I, mechanical, civil).
- Risk management skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of SAP in the following areas: Process orders/notifications; Materials management; Task planning and Scheduling of Jobs; Corrective and preventative work orders.

- A valid driver’s license and passport.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- The position is based in Squamish, BC (Project Site), with an initial stay period in the Vancouver Office, with travel to the EPC contractor’s Office in Houston and a visit to the Company’s Vancouver Office as required.
