Geotechnical Studies Underway

Blog

Mar 2, 2015

You may have recently noticed there’s some activity at the Woodfibre site.  As part of the ongoing studies at the Woodfibre site, a barge is working 25 to 50 metres off the Woodfibre shore. The equipment on the barge is conducting geotechnical testing. The operation will take place 24-hours a day through until the end of the day on Thursday, March 5. An environmental monitor will be on site to ensure the work doesn’t impact the herring roe on the riprap near the Woodfibre site. This work is required as Woodfibre LNG develops a better understanding of the geotechnical conditions at the site.
